Con el objetivo de evaluar la salud de sus colaboradores, a efectos de identificar y prevenir enfermedades ocupacionales y no ocupacionales que pongan en riesgo su salud y bienestar, la Junta de Beneficencia Guayaquil desarrolló el cronograma de toma de muestras de exámenes para la ficha médica anual.

El 21 de diciembre del 2021, mientras realizaba la cosecha de mango un cable de alta tensión le ocasionó las quemaduras de 2do y 3er grado a Urbano Carpio Tomalá, jornalero de 48 años que vive en el recinto Armería 2 del cantón Salitre. Las graves quemaduras afectaron el 30% de su cuerpo, siendo sus piernas las más afectadas.

La Junta de Beneficencia, en cooperación con Corporación GPF, inauguró el área de residencias del Instituto de Neurociencias (INC), un modelo terapéutico que busca ofrecer un tratamiento y estadía digno a los usuarios en todos los aspectos, con terapias ocupacionales que les devuelven o mantienen sus destrezas cognitivas que le permitan desenvolverse de manera autónoma.
