The signing of the agreement, with the presence of authorities and representatives of both institutions, took place at the Carlos P\u00e9rez Perasso Sports City, headquarters of the largest social and sports hotbed in Ecuador, and the territorial school of social sports with the greatest projection in Latin America.<br\/><br\/>The event was headed by Juan Xavier Cordovez, Director of the Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil; and Jos\u00e9 Luis D\u00edaz, Director of the Intercollegiate Marathon Tournament. During the meeting, the authorities stressed that institutional cooperation will allow adding experience, capacities and scope to consolidate the sport as a<br\/>a tool for training, inclusion and social transformation.<br\/><br\/>For the Junta de Beneficencia, this alliance gives continuity to a sustained trajectory in favor of social sports. Through 24 training schools, the institution has benefited more than 15,000 children and young people from different provinces of the country, promoting discipline, respect, solidarity, leadership and teamwork.<br\/><br\/>&#8220;Talent exists in all sectors, but opportunities do not always reach everyone equally. This alliance allows us to expand the impact of our social work and contribute to more children and young people finding safe spaces, training in values and real possibilities to develop their abilities in sport,&#8221; said Juan Xavier Cordovez.<br\/><br\/>The alliance will support the second edition of the National Intercollegiate Marathon Cup, considered the most far-reaching student tournament in the country. The competition will bring together more than 12,000 students, 600 teams and representatives from 10 cities, with more than 50,000 minutes of play scheduled between the Coast and Sierra regions.<br\/><br\/>Beyond the competition, the Cup seeks to strengthen self-esteem, the sense of belonging and the pride of representing each educational institution. It also promotes safe spaces that contribute to preventing violence and other risk factors, integrating students, families, coaches, teachers, schools and<br\/>communities around shared values and opportunities.<br\/><br\/>The Cup will run until February 2027, where Guayaquil will host the national grand final.
