On June 15, families from Guayaquil will be able to experience a special day dedicated to honoring the memory of their fathers, both at the General Cemetery and the Metropolitan Pantheon. It will be a day to remember, give thanks, and share, where the love for those fathers who are no longer physically present will be transformed into gestures, music, and experiences that touch the heart.
A heartfelt tribute at the General Cemetery
At the General Cemetery, an intimate and meaningful space will be opened to pay tribute to fathers. There, the silence will be dressed in musical notes, and memories will take shape in every detail.
From 10:00 a.m., visitors will be able to participate in the “Cord of Dad’s Memories,” hanging a cardboard shoe with a special message. Each of these messages will be like a whisper of love that remains.
Music will also be present, with live performances that will accompany this moment of reflection and tribute, creating a serene and emotional atmosphere.
At 12:00 p.m., an open-air mass in front of gate 3 will become the spiritual meeting point, where prayers will rise as a bridge between memory and the heart.
Football, family, and emotion at the Metropolitan Pantheon
Meanwhile, at the Metropolitan Pantheon, the atmosphere will be different but equally special. There, Father’s Day will be lived with energy, color, and joy, in an environment where football will be the common thread to share with the family.
There will be live music, but also recreational activities such as taking a photo in a themed backdrop of Barcelona SC and Emelec, or participating in a football game that will awaken memories of the Astillero classic seen with Dad.
One of the most anticipated dynamics will be the official jersey raffle. To participate, visitors can write why their dad is a champion and deposit the message in separate amphoras by team. At the end of the day, an official jersey will be raffled for each club.
And as in any tribute, there will be a spiritual moment. At 12:00 p.m., an open-air mass will be celebrated as a way to give thanks and connect with Dad’s legacy from faith.
That day, in both cemeteries of the Board of Charity, the emotion will be shared. Sadness will be transformed into living memory, nostalgia into gratitude. Because Dad is still present in every story told, in every song, in every prayer, in every gesture that is born of love.
