In an act of faith and hope, the Bosque de la Vida Pantheon of the Junta de Beneficencia (JBG), together with the Archdiocese of Guayaquil, will celebrate this Sunday, November 9, at 12:00, an open-air mass dedicated to unborn and unbaptized children, in the María Madre de Nacidos y No Nacidos pavilion of the cemetery.

The ceremony, which has become a tradition of the institution, seeks to honor life from its beginning and accompany families who have faced the loss of a child before or shortly after birth.
During the Eucharist, the rite of baptism and burial of three babies will be performed, whose families will be present to say goodbye and entrust their memory to God. With them, there will be more than two hundred little ones resting in this memorial space that the Junta de Beneficencia donated especially to provide Christian burial to the unborn.

The mass will be presided over by Monsignor Gerardo Nieves, Auxiliary Bishop of Guayaquil and president of the Episcopal Commission of Education and Culture of the Ecuadorian Episcopal Conference, and concelebrated by Monsignor Aníbal Nieto, Bishop Emeritus of San Jacinto, together with several priests of the city.

In addition to its profound spiritual significance, this ceremony aims to give visibility to perinatal grief, a process often silenced, offering their families a space of consolation, prayer and encounter with faith.

As a symbol of love and hope, the Bell of the Unborn, brought from the Vatican and blessed by Pope Francis, will be present. At the end of the mass, attendees will be able to ring it in memory of all the children who did not get to be born, as a gesture of prayer and eternal life.

The Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil invites the entire community to participate in this act of reflection, faith and solidarity, accompanying families in a moment of profound human and spiritual significance.
