The Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil, faithful to its historical vocation of service, renews for two more years the cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Guayaquil, in order to continue reaching more children, adolescents and families through the JBG Schools program.
During the first two years of the agreement, the Board has led an integral work that combines sports and health as tools for protection, prevention and social development. Thanks to this effort, 6,700 children and young people have benefited directly from the JBG Schools, finding safe spaces for training and support.
One of the pillars of the agreement has been the direct action of the Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil in social investment, through medical and dental brigades that have provided timely care to thousands of families involved in the project:
- 5,200 dental treatments
- 3,350 medical samples taken
- 204 emergency services, expanding the scope of care to more households and vulnerable sectors of the city.
Each care represents a timely intervention, an accompanied family and a protected child, reaffirming the human and preventive approach that characterizes the Board.
The renewal of the agreement for a new two-year period will strengthen this social intervention model, expand the program’s coverage and extend health and sports training services to more communities in Guayaquil. The Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil thus ratifies its commitment to children and adolescents, convinced that investing in health, sports and comprehensive support is investing in the future of the city.
