The Board of Charity continues to expand its commitment to education in the country; and has incorporated five new educational institutions into the JBG School Network, strengthening our mission to train free, responsible and supportive young people with high learning achievements, human and professional training.
Its educational network is made up of the educational units: José Domingo de Santistevan, Santa Luisa de Marillac, Mercedes Calderón, Freire Stabile in the Playas canton, Narcisa de Jesús in the Nobol canton and the private schools Nuestra Señora de la Sabiduría and Promesas Lucianas in the Lomas de Sargentillo and Santa Lucía cantons respectively.
Through our JBG Education Sector, we contribute to the education and integral formation of thousands of children and young people. We have the Dual Baccalaureate, where they learn between the classrooms and the training company, which allows graduates of the dual baccalaureate to have greater job opportunities.
We train young entrepreneurs and visionaries, under an educational model of 3 pillars: High academic training, Human training and tutorial accompaniment and Quality technical education.
Education at the JBG is distinguished by its Educational Seals that include:
• Extended school days (7h45 to 15h45), without homework, better time management and meaningful learning.
• Teachers in continuous training
Updated professionals, committed to excellent teaching.
• Cutting-edge pedagogical infrastructure
Modern environments, laboratories and access to digital platforms.
• Culture of constant evaluation
Measurement and permanent improvement of educational results.
Projected impact:
• More than 5,000 students benefited in this academic year, doubling the previous coverage.
• Presence in five cantons with high educational needs.
• Continuous offer of scholarships and school support, guaranteeing access regardless of economic situation.
With each school that opens its doors, the Board of Charity reaffirms its commitment to a more just Ecuador, where education is not a luxury but a fulfilled right.
Study Scholarships for Poor Children and Young PeopleEducation is another of the areas where we focus our charitable work. Thus we have the case of Carlitos who sold candy on the street due to an accident that left his father with a disability. The Board of Charity granted Carlitos a full scholarship to study at the José Domingo de Santistevan Educational Unit, now he is being educated, receives uniforms, his supplies, school express and an education based on values such as solidarity and love for others.
