Since 1904, the Luis Vernaza Hospital has been a benchmark for medicine in Ecuador. Today, his legacy is projected in comprehensive and specialized care, with 36 medical specialties and constant technological modernization. Within the Junta de Beneficencia network, he stands out for his experience in gynecology-obstetrics, reconstructive surgery, burns, ophthalmology and traumatology, consolidating himself as one of the historical and clinical pillars of the institution.
Inaugurated in 2016 and reopened in 2024, the Alfredo Paulson Hospital represents a new era for health in Ecuador. It was born with a focus on gynecology-obstetrics and, after its reopening, expanded its care to all medical specialties. Today it has 23 specialties, 15 state-of-the-art operating rooms and 350 hospital beds, with a strong focus on high complexity and transplants, which positions it as one of the most advanced medical centers in the country.
