The Guayaquil Charity Board launches its campaign “YOUR HELP HELPS US”, to join efforts to impact more Ecuadorians in health, education, inclusion and food.

The Guayaquil Charity Board launched its campaign “Your help helps us”, an initiative that reflects the spirit of a work that transcends the borders of the city and reaches every corner of Ecuador, demonstrating that solidarity can transform lives and that it is necessary to add the will of all those who want to be part of this great work.

In 2025, the Charity Board impacted more than 2.8 million Ecuadorians, with an active presence in the 24 provinces and 222 cantons of the country, promoting access to health, education, sports, inclusion and food for those in vulnerable situations. In Ecuador, more than 6 million people live on less than 3 dollars a day, and the need to join efforts to lighten their burden is a task that the Board has been carrying out for 137 years.

More than one million people have been able to access low-cost health care, free high-complexity surgeries, transplants and cardiological, neurological and reconstructive procedures, among others. In addition, 200,000 ophthalmological and dental services have been provided nationwide, and 50,000 people have been welcomed in our homes and shelters. In education, 50,000 impacts are recorded through educational networks, and 15,000 children and young people have been awarded scholarships in the largest social sports project in Ecuador, in alliance with Club Atlético de Madrid and the Pontifical Scholas Occurrentes Foundation.

Also, 100,000 people have benefited through programs to combat chronic child malnutrition and food security; one million have received donations of medicines; 20,000 people with disabilities receive care in their homes; and more than 100,000 have been impacted by social interventions focused on the cantons with the highest levels of poverty. In the last five years, the Board has increased its social investment by 300%, working every day throughout the Ecuadorian territory.

Through this campaign, the institution invites all Ecuadorians to join with their donations at www.donaciones.juntadebeneficencia.org.ec where each contribution becomes an opportunity to continue reaching further and helping those who need it most.

The figures not only reflect management; they tell stories of life, hope and recovered opportunities. One of them is that of Nathalya Tiguero, a two-year-old girl from Santa Elena who was born with heart disease and a cleft lip. Her mother remembers the difficult days, when the girl could barely breathe: “Before she turned purple and couldn’t eat. Today she eats, walks and is better. Thanks to you my daughter lives”, she says excitedly.

Through the Board’s free medical programs, Nathalya was able to undergo surgery and is now recovering successfully, symbolizing the strength and scope of a work that transforms realities throughout the country.

None of this would be possible without the union of wills. Allied organizations and thousands of supportive Ecuadorians join each year, directly or by buying the National Lottery and its games, to multiply the results and make it possible for more people to walk, breathe, learn and live better.

The director of the Board, Juan Xavier Cordovez Ortega, summarizes the spirit of this great work with words that touch the heart: “Each transformed life is a story of hope. The Board has a face, and it is always the face of an Ecuadorian who believes again. Your help helps us to continue building a more supportive, fairer and more humane country.”

The Charity Board calls on all those who believe in the power of solidarity, because each contribution, no matter its size, becomes a life-saving surgery, a ration of food for those who need it, an open classroom or a recovered smile. With the support of Ecuadorians, the Board will be able to continue reaching more corners of the country and extending its help to millions of people.

Your help helps us to continue changing lives.
